The Breakfast Cocktail

Sometimes, the party starts real early. Whatever you're celebrating, we want to help! This light and fizzy cocktail was made for easy sipping throughout your morning, whether you're tailgating a big game, hosting a day-time celebration, or just don't want anything too boozy, this really hits the spot.

If you've never made syrup from scratch, don't worry! It's so much easier than it sounds, and really elevates the cocktail. My friend was in town from Atlanta this weekend, and I was lucky enough to convince her to share her secret recipe with us. 

 

Ingredients

Honey Ginger Syrup

The Breakfast Cocktail

 

1 cup water

3/4 cup honey

4 inches of peeled and food processed ginger

 

2 Teaspoons per glass of Honey Ginger Syrup

1 Ohza Classic Mimosa

Splash of Sparkling Water

Fresh Rosemary for Garnish

Instructions

 
Honey Ginger Syrup
  1. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Reduce to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Let steep for 15 minutes, then strain!

 

  1. For 1 Champagne Flute, add 2 teaspoons of Honey Ginger Syrup
  2. Fill just shy of the top with your Ohza Classic Mimosa.
  3. Top with splash of sparkling water.
  4. Garnish with fresh rosemary.
